About Thoughtful Hearts

I started Thoughtful Hearts in memory of my grandmother. She was an avid seamstress and would sew unique keepsakes from fabric remnants for family and friends.

Many of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren have been surprised and delighted to receive a hand-sewn gift from scraps of items we remember from our childhood: old dresses, kitchen curtains and other familiar odds and ends.

My favorite gifts from grandma are her hearts. I have several of them hanging on doorknobs in my home. Knowing how much I loved her hand-sewn hearts, I decided to make them for my own family and friends just like grandma.

They've gone over so well that more and more people started requesting that I make and send them to others on their behalf... then my husband set up a new sewing room for me... and so Thoughtful Hearts was born.

Thoughtful Hearts make a unique gift to brighten someone's day. Unlike flowers or gift baskets, they are keepsakes that your family and friends will enjoy for years and years.
